2018 Capital Classic Pond Hockey Tournament

On Saturday, February 17th, 2018 the Canadian Progress Club Edmonton Downtown chapter will be hosting the 2018 Capital Classic Hockey Tournament on Lake Summerside. It will be an old fashioned 3-on-3 round robin done Canadian style in the great outdoors – next to a beer tent!
40 teams (5 players per team) will be facing off to raise the Capital Classic Cup, and proceeds for two great local children’s charities: Uncles & Aunts at Large and AdaptAbilities.
With over 25,000 attendees and spectators expected on the Saturday, Register A Team and come down to enjoy a day on the ice with friends, heated beer garden, fire pits, live entertainment, and food from our on-site vendors. Plenty of entertainment for the whole family!
Event Details & Schedule
• Equipment required: skates, gloves, sticks and helmets (must be worn during all games).
• Location: Lake Summerside 1720 88 St. SW, Edmonton
• Team Check-in: February 17th , 2018 @ 9 am
• Opening Ceremonies: 9:45 am
• Games Begin: 10 am
• Live Entertainment Begins: 12:00 pm
• Games End: 4 pm
• Beer Gardens Last Call: 7 pm
The “Buddy’s Team” $500
You and four buddy’s try to remember how you “used to do it”! Relive the glory days in the cool fresh Hawrelak air. Each of five players receives entry to the event, 5 games of old fashioned 3 x 3 pond hockey, heated beer gardens, player swag and a Capital Classic jersey. Team pictures and event pictures will be uploaded for your access.

“Your Company’s Team” $1,000
Register as a corporate team and receive event entry for a team of 5 players, 5 games of old fashioned 3-on-3 pond hockey, heated beer gardens, a Capital Classic jersey, and player swag. Plus, your company logo will displayed on rink boards, the Canadian Progress Club website, and event signage. Team pictures and event pictures will be uploaded for your access.
